First Baptist Church of Forsyth

The senior adult group at FBC is known as Merry Hearts.  This organizaiton, which came into being in the early 1990's, is based upon Proverbs 17:22, "A merry heart doeth good..." (KJV).

Meetings are held on the third Monday of each month, except from June through August.   These meetings are held in the Fellowship Hall of the church at noon, where a meal is enjoyed by all.  Featured at each meeting is a devotional thought as well as moments of joy and laughter.  Programs vary from those of an informative nature to entertainment.  There are times when we sponsor day trips to interesting sites.

The organization supports itself by each member contributing $7.00 each meeting, which mainly covers the cost of the meal.  At the end of the year, if there are any funds remaining in our account, the group votes to give these monies to mission activities.

We welcome any who would like to join our group.  The only requirement is that you desire to have a "Merry Heart".
